Whether you’re looking to join a lineage society, research your ancestry, or simply learn more about American history, I hope this site becomes a favorite destination.

The United Empire Loyalists were American colonists who remained loyal to Britain during the Revolutionary War. Many resettled in British North America, contributing significantly to Canada’s development. The United Empire Loyalists’ Association of Canada, founded in 1914, preserves their history and supports genealogical research, honoring descendants through the “UE” designation.

During WWII, women known as “Rosie the Riveter” filled labor shortages, leading to the American Rosie the Riveter Association’s establishment to honor their legacy.

The General Society of the War of 1812 honors veterans, preserves history, and educates about this pivotal conflict’s significance to American identity.

The Hereditary Order of Descendants of Colonial Governors honors lineage from colonial leaders, preserving history and fostering patriotism through genealogy.

The Hereditary Order of the Families of Presidents and First Ladies of America preserves genealogical ties to presidential lineages and promotes historical education.

I’m Carole Gunst and I created this site to share what I learn as I research my ancestors and lineage societies. I’m a member of the DAR, NSCDA, Jamestowne Society, the Society of the Ark and the Dove, National Society of US Daughters of 1812, and several others. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I enjoy working on it.
